Stage-managed luxury honeymoon gives newlyweds the VIP experience in India
Following the recent nuptials of über celebrities, Katy Perry and Russell Brand and with the forthcoming wedding of Prince Shivraj Singh of Jodhpur, India is once again proving itself the ultimately romantic destination. Embracing the current bout of wedding fever, boutique travel agency Wire launches its private honeymoon tour – a spectacularly amourous adventure through Rajasthan.
Bringing together fairytale palaces, five star luxury and a healthy dose of intimate moments, the 10-night tour promises to give newlyweds an indulgent start to married life.
With landmark hotels such as the Lake Palace (Udaipur), Devi Garh (outside Udaipur) and Deogahr Mahal, and secluded luxury tent camp Chhatra Sagar, Wire has handpicked each location on the itinerary for its romantic potential and ambiance. A full range of activities, from jeep safaris to village visits are included within the price of the tour.
Whilst a tour might not be the most obvious choice for a honeymoon, the itinerary has been designed to ensure a leisurely pace and moments where couples can really get away from the world. Mealtimes will continue the intimate theme, with private dining experiences ranging from a pontoon on Lake Pichola to the abandoned Anjana Fort near Deogarh Mahal.
Sara Constantinou, Senior Consultant for Wire talks about planning the tour: “We were inspired by the lavish celebrity weddings that Rajasthan is becoming famous for – and decided to turn this in to an experience that is accessible for all newlyweds. We always work behind the scenes to create a very private experience for our clients – after all, it is a honeymoon!”
Prices for the tour start at £3915 (€4495 / US$ 6120 / A$ 6,385) per person, including international flights, all activities, meals and dining experiences, with an option to extend the tour to take in Agra and the Taj Mahal.
