L'Occitane de Provence the French luxury skincare and beauty products retailer has taken its first steps in to the Indian market, signing deal with the top-end hotel chain Devi Resorts.

In partnership the two companies will start by operating three spas, co-branded as "Devi Spa by L'Occitane" in several luxury hotels in the country including the Devi Garh Palace in Udaipur (Rajasthan). The other two spas will include 20,000-sqft facilities at the upcoming Devi Ratn Resort in Jaipur (opening October 2010) and the new Rasa Resort in Jaipur. L'Occitane will provide the technical expertise, protocol training and marketing support in the development and launch of the spas, while Devi Resorts will provide the physical space in its design hotels.

Following the success of the Devi Garh, Devi Resorts is rapidly establishing itself as a leading light in Rajasthan hospitality circles. Their upcoming projects in Jaipur will once again combine ultra-modern elements with traditional materials, creating striking results.
