Cutting cost not quality - affordable Rajasthan
There's much chatter on the internet these days about affordable - picking up great discount deals and making the most of your travel budget. At Wire we decided to look at what we could do to create a collection of tours that retain the luxury - but that are a bit easier on the wallet. For us, the most important factor was not to sacrifice our high standards just in the name of price. But, we think we've managed to find a balance that still lives up to ours - and hopefully our clients' expectations.
The result is two tours so far - VIVID (11 days) and SODA (10 days). Both draw on our experience of the real Rajasthan, and combine a huge variety of sights, sounds and experiences. We still try to include as many activities and excursions as possible in the tours, but limit these to a select list. Meals are still included in the price, as are international flights, accommodation and, luxury air-conditioned car and local guides.
When it comes to accommodation, we're still working from our handpicked selection of hotels - no compromises there! When we originally compiled the list we knew that there was a diversity in style and price range, so our Affordable Luxury tours make the most of this insight, and still give our clients a truly special experience. For us, sub-standard accommodation (lets say three-star or less) is just not an option.
A significant difference from our Exclusive Tours is that although one of the Wire directors will be managing each tour, all guides and escorts will be locals.
With prices starting from £2445 per person (based on two sharing) we think we've managed to make a significant impact when it comes to achieving a memorable trip on a budget. And with the many 'extras' included in our tours, at least you know that there are no unexpected, unforeseen costs waiting for you when you arrive.
More Affordable Luxury tours are in the pipeline - so check back for updates in the coming weeks!
